DESIGN CONSTRAINTS
CITY DESIGN
Our city is 2x2 meter (78.74x78.74 inch) which is divided into two layers: the road layer and the signal layer. The lower road layer of city is built of foam tiles with road markings (tape) on them. The upper signal layer of city is consists of the traffic light, traffics signs and street names that are placed above the mats. These items are used to help vehicles (robots) with advanced tasks, such as localization and navigating through intersections.
COMPONENTS
OVERALL SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
All hosts are connected to the same router. Watchtowers and master computer are connected via Ethernet; to ensure more reliable connection, while traffic light and robots are connected via Wi-Fi.
